OREANDA-NEWS. April 14, 2010. President Victor Yanukovych assesses his negotiations with the IMF mission as fruitful, he said at his press conference in Washington, reported the Official website president.gov.ua.

"We had fruitful talks with the mission of the International Monetary Fund. It was decided to prepare a letter on behalf of Ukraine jointly with the IMF to resume work. We have defined the term for that, it should be no more than two weeks", said President Yanukovych.

According to him, the parties agreed that the letter will be considered promptly and by the worked procedure.

"Here we speak not only about the program for 2010, but also the program for 2011", he said.

Viktor Yanukovych also said that the draft state budget provides reduction of budget deficit to 6%, but this will not happen through social benefits reduction.

The President once again repeated that the social standards law would be implemented in Ukraine. Instead, the reduction of budget deficit will, in particular, be achieved through optimizing the costs.
