OREANDA-NEWS. April 15, 2010. Most of the companies, benefiting from the tax amnesty before, have accumulated debts to the budget again. This was announced by the Minister of Finance Veaceslav Negruta during the meeting of the government. He noted that amount of such debts to the budget has exceeded 1,1 billion leis.

The Minister of Finance noted that the analysis of situation with the tax amnesty held by the former authorities before, shows that many companies were aware of the forthcoming reform and intentionally accumulated debts, which then were written off. After that, the named companies began to accumulate debts again, while others were forced to take bank loans in order to meet their obligations. The result was the unfair competition.

The Moldovan Prime Minister Vladimir Filat noted that the competent authorities, including the Centre for Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption will need to investigate this situation.
