OREANDA-NEWS. April 15, 2010. Uralkali (Berezniki, Perm Territory) has decided to maintain the price for potassium chloride supplied to Russian agricultural producers in the second half of 2010 at 4,250 rubles per tonne (FCA, exclusive of VAT and packaging). This decision is in line with the company’s commitment to supporting the development of Russian agriculture.

In December 2009, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the agreement between the Russian Association of Fertilizer Producers and the Agri-industrial Union of Russia, Uralkali announced a ceiling price of 4,550 rubles per tonne (FCA, exclusive of VAT and packaging) for potash fertilizers supplied to Russian agricultural producers in the first half of 2010. In March 2010, Uralkali cut this price by almost 7% to 4,250 rubles per tonne (FCA, exclusive of VAT, exclusive of packaging), in order to support Russian farmers during the spring planting period.

Uralkali is required, under the agreement between the Russian Association of Fertilizer Producers and the Agri-industrial Union of Russia, to announce before 15 May the ceiling price for products supplied to Russian agricultural producers in the second half of 2010. The company has decided in advance of the deadline to keep its low prices unchanged for these customers until the end of this year.
