OREANDA-NEWS. April 16, 2010. In February 2010, the Current Account Balance on the Balance of Payments of Lithuania recorded a deficit of LTL 36 million. Compared to January (when the deficit on the current account balance made up LTL 133.2 million), the deficit decreased by LTL 97.2 million, reported the press-centre of Bank of Lithuania.

In February, the deficit decrease was driven largely by a decline in the foreign trade balance deficit. The deficit on the current account balance for January-February this year totalled LTL 169.3 million. In February 2009, the current account balance was in surplus of LTL 82.4 million, while in January-February it posted a deficit of LTL 187.8 million.
