Under the Memorandum ENRC will fulfill KZT746 m worth social obligations in 2010.

The ENRC-provided funding will be spent to support infrastructure of Zhayrem and Shubarkol settlements, construction of residential complex Sary-Arka in Karaganda, and sponsorship of health centers, educational and sports
institutions.

A very significant project is financing of a new clinic in Karaganda.

The funding is provided by Corporate fund ENRC Komek and ENRC units located in the Karaganda region.

The Memorandum is evidence the parties are ready to strengthen and develop mutual cooperation. It is the eight year in a row that ENRC is showing solid adherence to corporate social responsibility.

A few social project memorandums are effective in other regions with ENRC units operating, in particular in Aktobe, Kostanay and Pavlodar regions. In 2009 company social obligations reached KZT3.7 bn.

Mr Vulis commented: "For a number of years our company has been doing its best to develop social environment in its units. Besides, ENRC is substantially engaged in charity and sponsoring. It is no doubt; memorandums with local authorities are a good example of successful implementation of social initiatives of the company".
