OREANDA-NEWS. April 16, 2010. A working meeting between Rustam Minnikhanov, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Vadim Yanov, Chairman of the Management Board of SOGAZ Group, took place in Kazan. The meeting focused on the prospects for performance of the Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic and SOGAZ Group, which was signed in December 2009.

Vadim Yanov informed the Prime Minister of SOGAZ’s key activity areas in Tatarstan and development of the insurance market in the region. High emphasis was placed on providing high-quality insurance coverage for investment programs and projects being implemented in Tatarstan.

‘Creating a system for the insurance of risks arising at different implementation stages of these projects requires active involvement of the insurance community, says Vadim Yanov. ‘Such a system will enable budget saving, if the conditions for the implementation of investment programs are violated, and contribute to the minimization of system risks and to the improved  investment prospects in the region’.

The Chairman of SOGAZ Management Board expressed his confidence that the Group’s extensive experience in the implementation of social projects, particularly, in construction and equipping medical centers, may be in demand in Tatarstan.

The parties discussed the issues related to SOGAZ’s participation in insuring the facilities built for the World Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan and cooperation in the banking and agroindustrial risk insurance.

The Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and SOGAZ Insurance Group was signed in December 2009 and is aimed at creating favorable conditions for comprehensive social and economic development of the republic’s economy, improvement of investment prospects and healthcare system in the Republic by implementing a number of insurance programs.

SOGAZ offers nearly all types of insurance in the Republic of Tatarstan. The portfolio of the Group includes major companies of the Republic, such as LLC Tattransgaz, LLC Szhizhenny Gaz, OJSC NefisCosmetics and many others.

In 2009, SOGAZ’s insurance fees in the Republic of Tatarstan exceeded RUB 86 million.
