OREANDA-NEWS. April 19, 2010. With the aim of further improvement of the security level of online banking our customers are required to confirm their payments in the online bank with an additional code, reported the press-centre of Sampo Pank.

Another innovation introduced by Sampo Pank is as follows: customers can save their payment orders and confirm and forward them, singly or together, to the bank later.

”Together with the improvement of online banking security we have decided to provide our retail customers the same opportunities which were offered only to corporate customers earlier. Now on all Sampo Pank’s customers can enter their payments in the online bank singly and confirm them together later. It will certainly save the time and energy of those customers who use one-time code cards, because while using the above opportunity the need for codes will decrease considerably and the customers can use their code cards longer. It will also simplify making payments using Mobile-ID, because the customer can confirm several payment orders together,“ explains Kerly Tosvel, head of electronic banking channels of Sampo Pank.

Saved and unconfirmed payment orders can be found under the menu item “Unconfirmed payments”. The user is informed about the existence of unconfirmed payments after entering Sampo Internet bank and before exiting from it. In this regard, we would like to remind you that in order to exit from the online bank correctly and securely, it is always necessary to click the button “Log out”.

At present Sampo Pank has ca 180 000 customers, whereof about 93% are also e-customers. Sampo Pank continues developing its electronic channels in order to improve the existing solutions and ensure the highest level of security. According to the Baltic E-Banking Report for 2009 Sampo Pank provides the best e-banking and mobile banking services in Estonia.
