OREANDA-NEWS. April 19, 2010. Roscosmos and Subjects of the Russian Federation to Discuss Remote Sensing Data Utilization on April 20.

Russian Federal Space Agency will hold a meeting with the representatives of the Russian Subjects to discuss utilization of the remote sensing data and space imaging request processing in 2010-2011. The meeting is to take place in Roscosmos premises, the Earth Real-Time Monitoring Center, Russian Space systems Company, on April 20. Representatives of  more than 50 Russian regions are invited to participate in the meeting; almost all of these regions have space technology application agreements signed. Some regions are in process developing their own special space technology utilization programs.

The Earth Real-Time Monitoring Center is the operator of the Russian remote sensing systems. The center maintains space data scheduling, acquisition, registration, processing, storage and distribution.

The meeting will provide the opportunity to observe the capabilities of the national remote sensing constellation, which maintains imaging of the Russian territory with resolution of 1-2m (high) and 50-70m (medium).
