OREANDA-NEWS. April 19, 2010. Ingosstrakh OJSIC was proclaimed the winner of THE BRAND OF THE YEAR/EFFIE – 2009 awards ceremony. This most reputable international award in company brand creation was presented to us at the winner awarding ceremony which was held in the Moscow Exposition Centre ‘Manezh’. Ingosstrakh was the recipient of the bronze award in the ‘Financial Organisations. Products and Services. Insurance’ nomination and became the only insurance company to have won the nomination other candidates in which included commercial banks.

The list of guests included the most prominent figures of the business community, company directors, business entrepreneurs, representatives of the media, scientific and art community, as well as of the political scene – members of government and various other authorities.

THE BRAND OF THE YEAR/EFFIE is an annual awards ceremony for the most successful projects in brand creation in the Russian market. This is the only award in this country which can boast of international acclaim having been founded by, and holding a licence of, the American Marketing Association (AMA). 

Founded back in 1998 with the view to promote most up-to-date instruments of market activity in Russia, THE BRAND OF THE YEAR has become the most significant award for companies who feel they can claim to be seen as leaders in the market, regardless of the particular business sector they operate in. Stability is invariably evidence of top-notch professionalism, especially considering that this time the jury was examining the work for the year 2009, which was so particularly hard for the entire market. We have been able to launch a new insurance product designed to help those clients who doubt the reliability of their insurers, as well as conduct a proper advertising campaign for it. It is worth reminding that Ingosstrakh had come up as the winner of THE BRAND OF THE YEAR/EFFIE – 2007. It is moreover the only Russian insurer who had appeared on the Most Valuable Russian Brands list featuring 40 leading companies from various sectors of business for four years in a row (2005 – 2008). The rating was made by Interbrand Zintzmeyer & Lux AG.
