OREANDA-NEWS. April 27, 2010. As the National Bureau of Statistics has informed InfoMarket agency, the growth of volumes of industrial production in January-March has been caused by the increase in output at the enterprises of a process industry - by 5,9 % and power sector - by 3,6 % that has led to the increase in total amounts of production by 4,3 % and 0,9 %, accordingly.

The increase in volumes of industrial production in this period has been caused, in particular, by growth of manufacture at the enterprises of tobacco products - in 1,9 times; the distilled alcoholic drinks - by 56,4 %; fault - by 28 %; suitcases and bags - by 27,6 %; cocoa, chocolate and confectionery products from sugar - by 22,8 %; papers and a cardboard - by 15,2 %.

Manufacture of medicines and pharmaceutical goods has grown by 15 %; machines and the equipment - by 13,4 %; products of the flour-grinding industry - by 9,7 %; vegetative and animal oils and fats - by 8,4 %. Manufacture, processing and conservation of meat and meat products has increased by 4,5 %. At the same time, in the I quarter of 2010 at the enterprises of wood and wooden products - output reduced by 46 %; the enterprises of a mining industry - by 39,7 %; iron and steel industry - by 32,3 %.

Manufacture of other nonmetallic mineral products (glass, products from concrete, plaster, cement) has decreased by 26,2 %; processing and conservation of fruit and vegetables - by 25,1 %. Recession in the field of publishing, typographical business, reproduction of information materials has made 23,7 %. Manufacture of ready metal products, except for machines and the equipment, reduced by 21 %, mineral water and soft drinks - by 12,8 %; rubber and plastic products - by 10,2 %; manufacture of electro-machines and equipment - by 9,1 %; footwear - by 6,8 %; dairy products - by 3,5 %.

As it was reported earlier, in 2009 industrial enterprises of Moldova of all forms of ownership have made production for the sum of 23 billion 266,6 million leis (USD1,86 billion), having reduced volume of its release in comparison with 2008 by 22,2 %. The National Bureau of Statistics does not consider data on Transnistria.
