OREANDA-NEWS. April 27, 2010. Air Astana resumed its regular flight operations for Almaty – Bishkek - Almaty. On the 8th of April flights to Kyrgyzstan were stopped due to the unstable socio-political situation within the country.

Today at 01.05 a.m. Almaty local time Air Astana aircraft flew its regularly scheduled flight from Almaty to Bishkek with 28 passengers on board. The aircraft returned from Bishkek to Almaty at 04.15 a.m. local time. There were 48 passengers, most of whom were Kazakhstan citizens.

Air Astana will continue to monitor the situation in Kyrgyzstan and inform passengers of flight information. Passengers will be given the opportunity to rebook their flight. However, we strongly recommend that passengers carefully plan their trips to Bishkek as the socio-political condition remains uncertain.
