OREANDA-NEWS. April 28, 2010. The Board of directors of OJSC Enel OGK-5 recommended the General Shareholders’ Meeting of the company to approve its audited financial statements for 2009, prepared in accordance with Russian Accounting Standards (RAS).

Net Revenues totaled 43,595 million RUR, 749 million RUR higher than the figure posted a year earlier (+2%). In the fourth quarter of the year, recovery in power demand and energy prices in the free market boosted generation and revenues, resulting in an upward trend over the full year.

Profit on Sales amounted to 5,357 million RUR, 1,916 million RUR higher than 2008 (+56%). The increase is mainly due to the improvement in energy management performance. Specifically on the operations side, Enel OGK-5 has kept outages down and has considerably optimized maintenance processes and timing.
