OREANDA-NEWS. May 04, 2010. Ukio bankas increases interest on funds in accounts for private clients. From 1 May, all private clients will receive up to 3 percent in annual interest on funds in their accounts under the programme Profitable Interest, reported the press-centre of Ukio Bankas.

The rate of interest payable to the programme’s participants will depend on the amount of funds in the account. From 1 May, clients keeping funds in savings accounts will also receive higher interest.

“Developed for private clients, the programme Profitable Interest allows the clients keeping their money in accounts with Ukio bankas to earn bigger interest. We offer financially beneficial solutions for the private clients who have chosen conservative ways of money saving under the current market conditions,” Balanda Bradulskiene, director of Ukio bankas Product Development Department, said.

All private clients holding an account in litas, euro or US dollars with Ukio bankas can participate in the programme Profitable Interest. The rate of Profitable Interest depends on the average funds balance in a bank account: the larger is the client account balance the higher interest rate is set.

Ukio bankas private clients will be paid an annual interest of up to 3 percent on the bank account balance in litas and euro, and up to 1.75 percent in annual interest on the account balance in US dollars.

Ukio bankas private clients, who keep their funds on a savings account in litas will earn up to 2 percent in annual interest on the savings account balance, those keeping in euro and Great Britain pounds sterling – 1.5 percent in annual interest, and the savings account balance in US dollars will yield an annual interest of 1.25 percent.

From 1 May, interest on a bank account balance for corporate clients is also changed. An average monthly account balance of LTL 50,000 and above will yield by 0.25 percent bigger interest. However, corporate clients are always offered an opportunity to receive higher interest by placing a time deposit with Ukio bankas. Deposits with a maturity up to 1 month in litas will yield an annual interest of 0.7 percent, those in euro and US dollars – 0.5 percent, and in Great Britain pounds sterling – 0.25 percent.
