OREANDA-NEWS. May 4, 2010. Despite the global financial and economic crisis, the pace of road construction in Moscow does not slow down.

Speaking at a grand opening of the 12th international forum Dorkomexpo on April 26, Vladimir Resin, first deputy mayor of Moscow, noted that such events favoured the development of road construction in the Russian capital.

The official added that ten large road developments were carried out in Moscow at that time.

According to Mr Resin, 37 billion roubles (~USD 1.3 bn) have been allocated for maintaining, repairing and building the Moscow roads in 2010.

The first deputy mayor emphasized that city authorities were interested in using the Russian road-building machines unveiled at Dorkomexpo 2010.
