OREANDA-NEWS. May 4, 2010. Belarus’ beer output decreased 5.1% on the year in January-March 2010 to 7.366 million decaliters, a representative in the concern Belgospischeprom told.

OAO Krinitsa, based in Minsk, cut beer production 12.3% to 2.906 million decaliters.

OAO Olivaria, based in the city of Minsk, produced 1.341 million decaliters of beer in January-March, a decrease of 18.2% on the year.

Syabar brewery, based in Bobruisk, in the Mogilev Region, produced 1.351 million decaliters of beer in the period, up 49.1% on the year.

OAO Lidskoe Pivo (Lida Beer), in the Grodno Region, decreased beer output 1.1% to 1.045 million decaliters.

OAO Brest Beer produced 463,000 decaliters of beer, down 7%.

OAO Rechitsapivo, located in the Gomel Region, produced 194,000 decaliters of beer in the period, down 26%.

Beer offering in plastic bottles went down 3.1% to 5.903 million decaliters, in glass bottles fell 14.7% to 1.103 million decaliters, in kegs increased 6.6% to 299,000 decaliters and in cans fell 38.5% to 60,000 decaliters.

Belarusian beer sales decreased 5.1% on the year in January-March to 6.255 million decaliters.

Krinitsa sales went down 17.1% to 2.312 million decaliters, Olivaria sales went down 0.9% to 1.238 million decaliters, Lidskoe pivo sales decreased 0.3% to 912,000 decaliters, and sales of Brest Beer fell 12.8%, of Syabar increased 38.8% and of Rechitspivo dropped 32.8%.
