OREANDA-NEWS. May 05, 2010. LLC TNK-UVAT (a TNK-BP subsidiary) reported that it completed Q1 2010 without any industrial safety incidents, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

According to Gennady Kayumov, head of the TNK-Uvat Health, Safety and Environment Division, no accidents, fire instances, emergencies or any other incidents have been registered in the company over the period in question.

“To improve health and safety situation in various company facilities, medical equipment and furniture have been deployed in medical units at the Urnenskoe and Ust-Tegusskoe fields, contracts have been signed to service ambulance vehicles and employees have been vaccinated against tick-borne encephalitis”, says Gennady Kayumov.

In his opinion further stability and accident-free environment at production sites will benefit considerably from greater involvement of employees and management in production processes in compliance with technical regulations as well as TNK-BP Golden Safety Rules.

It should also be noted that TNK-Uvat operates based on OHSAS 18001:2007 international standards entitled "Professional Health and Safety Management System Requirements" (PHSMS) and ISO 14001:2004 “Environmental Management System”.
