OREANDA-NEWS. May 05, 2010. In 2009, its level dropped by 1.13% versus growth by 44.27% over 2008.

The CBA informs that volume of reserve money amounted to AZN 4.916 bn by 1st April versus AZN 4.677 bn by 1st March, AZN 4.59 bn by 1st February and AZN 4.907 bn by 1st January of the year.  As of 1st April 2010 money basis in manats reached AZN 4.9 bn versus AZN 4.658 bn, AZN 4.559 bn and AZN 4.86 bn respectively.

At the same time, if not to take seasonal factors (AZN 5.03 bn) money basis increased by 4.5% in March, by 14.7% since early 2010 and by 32.3% on an annualized basis.

In 2009, money basis in manats rose by 1.7%. At the same time, if not to take seasonal factors, money basis increased by 1.1% versus the 2008 index.

The level of bank reserves decreased from the beginning of 2009 by 27.1% versus the 2008 figure. It is linked with reduction of norms of reserving.

As of 1st April 2010 exchange rate was AZN 0.8034 to the US dollar.
