OREANDA-NEWS. May 05, 2010. The World Bank has brought crushing statistics of Azerbaijan’s sluggishness in spending portfolio designed for the country.

According to the Bank, its portfolio on Azerbaijan reached USD 2.737 bn including USD 1.765 bn endorsed by the International Bank for Reconstruction & Development (IBRD) and USD 972.2 million by the International Development Association (IDA).

“By the present it has been spent a little less than USD 939.668 million of those finances (USD 236.858 million funded by IBRD and USD 702.809 million by IDA). The sum of USD 1.648 bn (USD 1.39 bn and USD 255.149 million respectively) still remains unspent),” the WB reported.
