Lena United River Shipping Company (LORP OJSC, Yakutsk, Russia) ended the first quarter of 2010 with net loss of 301,550 million rubles, or a sixfold slump from Q1, 2009, the Company trade statistics said. In Q4 last year the Lena Shipping incurred a net loss of RUB197.333 million. The company statement said the decline was due to seasonal factors.

Lena United River Shipping Company is the largest shipping company of the Russian North-East. The Company provides transportation of goods and passengers by inland waterways and maritime routes, including international freight forwarding services, production and sale of non-metallic building materials, ship repair and shipbuilding, engineering and other services.
