OREANDA-NEWS. May 06, 2010. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) found that the Novgorod Regional Department of Internal Affairs and Offices of Internal Affairs for Okulovsky, Shimsky, Borovchsky, Volotovsky, and Malovishersky districts of the Novgorod region violated Clause 5 Part 1 Article 15 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" (which prohibits restricting buyers of the goods in their choice of economic entities offering such goods), reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The violators drafted notifications, which restricted the choice of economic entities supplying first-aid kits for motor vehicles, and sent them to pharmacy networks in the Novgorod region. Adopting the notification and exercising related actions resulted in restricting competition.

Having investigated the case, FAS Russia terminated the proceedings because the Regional Department of Internal Affairs and its District Offices withdrew the notification voluntarily and, therefore, eliminated the antimonopoly violation.
