OREANDA-NEWS. May 06, 2010. Federal Agency of Sea and River Fleet of the Russian Ministry of Transport (RosMorRechFlot) plans to place orders for the construction of river ships in 2010 worth 12 billion rubles (approx. USD 395m), the Russian Govt. press service reports quoting Alexander Davydenko, the head of RosMorRechFlot during his meeting with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.

"In the past year, in accordance with signed agreements we have, jointly with United Shipbuilding Corp, placed orders at the shipyards of Saint-Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Yaroslavl and the Far East (Komsomolsk-on-Amur and Bolshoi Kamen) for more than 10 billion rubles,” Mr. Davydenko was quoted as saying. “This year the Agency as well has planned orders for building ships for the Russian river fleet valued at 12 billion rubles”, Mr. Davydenko said.
