OREANDA-NEWS. May 07, 2010. These are the data of the experts of the Russian Research Center of the federal and regional alcohol markets (RCFRAM). Moldovan share in the total Russian wine imports in January-March this year amounted to 17,2%.

Moldova lags behind France, which share is 21.3%. Then follows: Germany-11.7% and Bulgaria - 7%. The RCFRAM experts have certain confidence that in 2010 Moldova will again become a leading exporter of the grape wine to the Russian market.

They note that the Moldovan winemakers took the second position on the volume of shipments of wine to Russia since the last year's failure of Bulgarian wines at the Russian market. By late 2009, Moldova ranked the third on volume of wine exports to Russia with a market share of 12,5%.

The first and the second places were taken by France - 17.5% and Bulgaria - 15%.
