OREANDA-NEWS. May 7, 2010. Rosavia, the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency, hosted a national aviation conference on the theme of Russian Airlines' Experience in Operating Foreign Aircraft at the UTair Aviation base in Tyumen. The conference was attended by over 120 technicians and engineers from Russia and abroad.

The conference focused on the summary of Russian carriers experience in operating foreign aircraft and an analysis of the technical challenges involved in flight operations.

The head of the Federal Air Transport Agency Alexander Neradko and UTair CEO Andrei Martirosov greeted the participants of the conference.

Representatives of the Intergovernmental Aviation Committee, the United Aircraft Corporation, leading domestic and foreign experts in the field of aircraft safety, and representatives of major Russian carriers operating foreign aircraft made reports on the problems of operating foreign aircraft in Russia. The summary of analysis at the two day conference will serve as the basis for a draft of recommendations on the use foreign-made aircraft.
