OREANDA-NEWS. May 11, 2010. Belarus’ output of soft drinks rose 5.1% year-on-year in January-March 2010 to 5.3 million decaliters, the National Statistics Committee said in a statement.

In March, production reached 2.4 million decaliters, up 18.4% on the year.

Inventories of soft drinks were at 1.4 million decaliters as of April 1, 2010, 80.5% of the average monthly output, or 21.9 billion rubles in value terms.

Sales reached 5.4 million decaliters in the first quarter, up 5.2% on the year.

Belarusian-made beverages accounted for 92.1% of the retail structure in the period, down 2.2 percentage points on the year.
