OREANDA-NEWS. May 11, 2010. Belarus’ OAO Lidskoe Pivo in early May will start the construction of a bottling shop worth about 20 million euros, Director General of OAO Lidskoe Pivo Audrius Miksys told.

The new shop will include bottling lines with a capacity of 30,000 glass bottles and 12,000 plastic bottles per hour, a new transport and a 10,000-square meter logistical terminal and a new factory building with eight new tanks.

Lidskoe Pivo now operates eight 200-cubic meter tanks and 18 100-cubic meter tanks.

The reconstruction will be completed by the beginning of the 2011 season.

Finland’s Olvi Oyj finances the reconstruction, as a result of which the capacity of the brewery will increase 30% to 6.5 million decaliters annually.

Finland’s Olvi Oyj in September 2008 acquired a 51% holding in the Belarusian brewery Lidskoe Pivo through a private placing for an estimated USD 16 million.

Olvi plc is one of Finland’s biggest beer and soft drink producers. It operates in Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
