OREANDA-NEWS. May 12, 2010. As the CEO of Air Moldova Julian Scorpan has informed, Air Moldova has paid 10% of the total cost of the aircraft and the remaining amount was paid by the four commercial banks: Victoriabank, Banca de Economii, Fincombank и Banca Comerciala Romana.

The loan shall be reimbursed within 10 years. The aircraft is designed for 114 seats and will carry out regular flights on European routes from May 2010. At the same time, Julian Scorpan noted that the price of ticket for Embraer will depend on the route. The transaction on acquisition of the plane was announced on February 2008.

The agreement also provides acquisition of another aircraft Embraer 190. It should be noted that to date the company Air Moldova has 3 aircraft, flying on all European routes.

Air Moldova operates flights on 19 routes, including Frankfurt, Vienna, Bucharest, Istanbul, Lisbon, Madrid, London, Athens, Larnaca, Rome, Milan, Verona, Paris, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Varna, Munich and Kiev. Embraer (Empresa Brasileira de Aeronautica) is the world's largest manufacturer of commercial aircrafts up to 120 seats and one of the largest exporters in Brazil.
