OREANDA-NEWS. May 12, 2010. Vietnamese President Nguyen Minh Triet visited an official start of development of Hanoi-Moscow cultural and business centre at the junction of Yaroslavskoe Highway and the MKAD highway encircling Moscow on May 10.

The event was also attended by Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov and other officials from Vietnam and the Russian capital.

“I would like to thank Mr Luzhkov and the Moscow Government for the support in development of the Hanoi centre in Moscow and invite him to the festival devoted to the thousand year anniversary of Hanoi,” the Vietnamese President said.

The mayor of Moscow specified that Hanoi-Moscow centre was designed to have an area of 158,000 square metres and was expected to be completed in 2013.

Besides, the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam, the Vietnam-Russia Joint Venture Bank and Intsentr Company signed an agreement on financing the project aimed at building Hanoi-Moscow cultural and business centre featuring a hotel.
