OREANDA-NEWS. May 17, 2010. "AZS-N1" Ltd. paid 3.5 million Ruble fine for participating in a price collusion on the oil market in the Tyumen region together with subsidiaries of "Lukoil" OJSC and "Gazprom Neft" OJSC. The fine was imposed by the Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Tyumen region (the Tyumen OFAS Russia). The company transferred the money to the budget after the Court of First Instance and the Appeal Court confirmed legitimacy of the actions undertaken by the antimonopoly body, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The company was engaged in price collusion with two owners of service stations in the region - "Lukoil-Uralnefteproduct" Ltd. and "Gazpromneft -Tyumen" OJSC. In January - June 2008 the companies fixed and maintained the same prices for motor fuel in Tyumen and the Tyumen region.

All three companies were fined for committing the antimonopoly violation. The size of fine for "Gazpromneft -Tyumen" OJSC was around 16.5 million Rubles (paid) and for "Lukoil-Uralnefteproduct" Ltd. - around 10 million Rubles (on 11th May 2010 the Cassation Court confirmed its legitimacy).
