OREANDA-NEWS. May 17, 2010. In the course of Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva’s formal visit to Russia a Business Forum Brazil-Russia: Strengthening of Strategic Partnership was held in Moscow. The Forum was organized by the Brazilian Embassy in Moscow, Vnesheconombank and the Russia-Brazil Council of Entrepreneurs.

In his welcoming address to the Forum’s participants the Brazilian President said that the Forum was designed to promote and strengthen ties between our business circles. The President called on Russian and Brazilian entrepreneurs to translate politicians’ words into reality. “You can do a lot to boost our contacts to bring the trade turnover between our countries to 10 billion dollars per year in the near future… We must take a new qualitative step and identify new fields of partnership. They might include power engineering, infrastructure and space exploration”, said Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
