OREANDA-NEWS. May 18, 2010. First Container Terminal (FCT CJSC) announces the launch of a new service for the terminal customers - a regular container unit train "Saint-Petersburg Express" on the route Saint-Petersburg - Moscow - St. Petersburg, the National Container Company (NCC) press release said.

According to NCC, the terminal owner, the train departure is scheduled twice a week.

The trains will be formed at the FCT and departure from the Avtovo station (St. Petersburg). In Moscow, the train will arrive at the Moscow-Tovarnaya station of Octkabrskaya Railroad (TransContainer OJSC terminal).

After the train arrival to Moscow, containers will be transported by road to the location specified by the client within the Moscow Ring Road. Estimated travel time from St. Petersburg to the warehouse in Moscow - 48 hours.

Logistics Operator LLC is the container train operator.

First Container Terminal (Saint Petersburg) specializes in the transshipment of containerized cargo at the Big Port of St. Petersburg. The terminal’s current capacity is 1.1 million TEUs to be expandable to 1.6 million TEUs annually.
