President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov attended the ceremony of putting the Ahal oil mill into operation. The ceremony of opening the industrial facility built in Ovadandepe settlement in Ruhabat Etrap, Ahal Velayat continued the parade of building premieres to mark the national holiday – the Day of Revival, Unity and Magtymguly’s Poetry

The enterprise of domestic food industry had expanded the network of the facilities built in the large industrial centre developed rapidly to the north of the Turkmen capital. It was constructed in accordance with the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan aimed at broadening the range of food products manufactured in the country and developing the agro-industry sector.

The fundamental reforms were initiated by the Turkmen leader in nearly all branches of the agro-industry sector – from cultivation of agricultural crops to processing and manufacture of high-quality products meeting international standards. Thus, putting the new enterprise into operation in Ovadandepe will contribute to developing agro-industrial infrastructure in Turkmenistan and guaranteeing food security in the country. This project was implemented by the foreign company in active collaboration with Turkmen specialists.

The President’s car stopped at the entrance to the newly constructed facility. The cabinet ministers, the heads of the Mejlis, the ministries and departments, the local high-ranking officials, journalists, the workers and specialists of the oil mill had gathered there. The ceremony participants heartily greeted the leader of the Turkmen state.

The girls dressed in bright national costumes presented the bouquets of wonderful flowers to the President. The elders offered bread and salt to the Turkmen leader and the mullahs offered up the prayers for the prosperity of independent neutral Turkmenistan and the success of the epoch-making reforms initiated by the national leader for the benefit and happiness of the Turkmen people and the wellbeing of the Fatherland.

The local art groups presented a bright performance on occasion of the opening the new facility.

Greeting those present the President of Turkmenistan congratulated them on the coming national holiday – the Day of Revival, Unity and Magtymguly’s Poetry and the opening of the new enterprise producing high-quality cottonseed oil.

The Turkmen leader said that the ceremonies of opening industrial and social facilities, comfortable apartment houses and many other facilities were arranged throughout the country in those days. Putting the new enterprise amounted to USD 68 million and supplied with state-of-the-art equipment manufactured by the leading European and Japanese producers into operation would be a worthy contribution to providing the population with ecologically pure food products. The oil mill would process 300 tons of cotton seeds a day and 96,000 tons a year and produce 50 tons of high-quality ecologically pure cottonseed oil, 10 tons of margarine, over 140 tons of cotton cake that was a valuable product for the cattle farming sector, 70 tons of cotton husk and other agricultural products every day.

The Turkmen leader said that the opening of the Ahal oil mill would create new jobs in the region – 360 workers would work in three shifts there. All conditions conducive to producing high-quality products would be created at the oil mill.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that in the past years hundreds of important industrial, social and cultural facilities had been constructed throughout Turkmenistan. All this evidenced that the country enhanced its economic strength, improved steadily the living conditions of citizens and created the conditions for a prosperous and happy life of the people.

The national leader said that the priority issues related to further improvement in the welfare of the Turkmen people and prosperity of the beloved Motherland had been considered during the Elders’ Council meeting held recently in Dashoguz. The 2011-2030 National Social and Economic Development Programme of Turkmenistan had been adopted during the nationwide forum that had focused on the ways to steadily increase agricultural output and raise the standards of living of rural population.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the goal – to promote production of ecologically pure agricultural goods and enhance the potential of the agro- processing sector had been set. Today, the large-scale work was carried out in the framework of the agricultural reform to guarantee the plenty of food products in the country, flood the national market with a broad range of high-quality food products and increase agricultural exports. The Turkmen leader said that the Ahal oil mill in Ruhabat Etrap had been constructed to achieve this goal and expressed belief that the new enterprise would profoundly contribute to the economic growth of the country and have a worthy place in the production infrastructure of food industry.

In conclusion the Turkmen leader wished good health, family wellbeing and every success in their work for the benefit of the independent neutral Motherland to those present.

To the applause of the ceremony participants the President of Turkmenistan cut the ribbon and entered the building.

Then President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited an exposition arranged by the Food Industry Association in the foyer of the administrative building of the new oil mill. The exposition presented a broad range of products manufactured at the leading food enterprises of the country including the Bayramali fat-and-oil complex – the oldest one in the country opened in 1903, the Dashoguz oil expeller plant that had been operating since 1942, the Turkmenabat oil extraction plant put into operation in 1978. Also, the exposition presented products of the vegetable, fruit, melons and gourds growing sectors and sugar products manufactured by the Maryseker factory.

The exposition presented a broad range of products of dairy and meat industry – cultured milk foods, butter and various kinds of margarine including those to be manufactured at the new oil mill. Also, Korpe baby food, various kinds of sausages and cooked meats, tinned meat, tomato and fruit juice, ketchup, tomato paste, pickles produced by the enterprises affiliated with the Food Industry Association that were in great demand on the domestic market, various kinds of ice-cream produced by the Turkmen enterprises and Turkmen wines and beverages, which had won the awards of the prestigious international contests, were displayed in the exposition.

The Turkmen leader visited the shop where cottonseed oil was poured into bottles and packed into PET polyethylene containers. There the Turkmen leader talked to the local specialists about the computer-aided manufacturing process.

It should be noted that the preference was given to ecologically pure raw materials and advanced technologies at the oil mill.

Then President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wrote an entry to the Book of Honorary Guests in commemoration of this remarkable event.

Bidding farewell to local workers and specialists, the President congratulated Turkmen food industry workers on this important building premiere.
