OREANDA-NEWS. May 19, 2010. Foundation ceremony of Khizy Treatment and Diagnostics Center was held under the “State Program on socio-economic development of the regions”. The event was attended by the SOCAR representatives headed by the Company president Mr. Rovnag Abdullayev, Head of Khizy region Executive Power Vagif Abdullayev, as well as representatives of region community. By opening the conference, SOCAR president Mr. Rovnag Abdullayev briefed on the recent achievements within the new oil strategy founded by the national leader Mr. Heydar Aliyev and successfully continued by the President of Azerbaijan Republic Mr. Ilham Aliyev, as well as gave detailed information about the projects implemented by the Company on social sphere.

He mentioned that treatment and diagnostics centers have been constructed by the financial means of SOCAR in more than 10 regions within the works on socio-economic development of the country for improvement of population’s medical service under the leadership of the President of Azerbaijan Republic Mr. Ilham Aliyev. Mr. Abdullayev pointed out that 11 such medical centers have been already constructed and put into use. According to him, such treatment and diagnostics centers contribute to the protection of heath of the local population, opening of new workplaces in the regions, increase of employment, as well as improvement of welfare of the population.

SOCAR president estimated the construction of these treatment centers as the state care and attention towards the medical system of the country. Afterwards, by Head of presenting the plan-scheme of the Treatment and Diagnostics Center to SOCAR president, the Company’s Social Development Department Badal Badalov stated that three-storied Center will include 20-bed hospital, dialysis, reception, polyclinic and administrative departments, 2 operation blocks for unique operations, sterilization block, as well as laboratory. The Center, employing about 170 people and supplied with technical equipments corresponding to the modern standards, will serve high-level outpatient and stationary medical aid. The Center will be put in use in October of the current year.
