OREANDA-NEWS. May 21, 2010. TNK-BP announced the launch of a new multifunctional service station in Saint-Petersburg in the framework of the strategy aimed at expanding its retail network operating under the BP brand. The new site is the sixth BP-branded station opened in Russia’s Northern capital, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

The strategy of expanding the BP-branded retail network is aimed at increasing the company’s presence in the premium segment. It provides for the opening of four new service stations in Saint-Petersburg by the end of this year. All of the sites in Saint-Petersburg are newly built multifunctional service stations that are located in the center or on major highways. 

“The construction of new BP-branded service stations in Saint-Petersburg is part of the strategy aimed at increasing the presence of BP brand in our key regions. All BP stations operate in conformity with the industry-leading international quality standards, while the fuels are regularly tested to meet the trademark requirements. The gasoline and diesel are provided to BP service stations in Saint-Petersburg from the most advanced Russian refineries in Ryazan and Yaroslavl. By the end of 2014, over 30 BP-branded service stations will be operating in Saint-Petersburg”, — said Amir Feyzulin, Vice President, Marketing, TNK-BP.

The Wild Bean Cafes at the newly opened service stations have new visual standards. BP Ultimate fuel which is available at BP retail sites belongs to a new generation of BP fuels and delivers improved engine power at the same time reducing sulphur emissions into the atmosphere. According to 2009 results, 40% of customers who filled up their cars with 95 and 98 octane rated petrol at  BP- branded sites  opted for BP Ultimate.
