OREANDA-NEWS. May 21, 2010. Rossiya Airlines has successfully passed the second IOSA – IATA Operational Safety Audit. The official letter was received in the middle of March and the IOSA Operator Certificate was obtained on the 30th of April. The new certificate issued for Rossiya Airline will be valid through November 11, 2011.

Rossiya Airlines was one of the first Russian companies to be included into IOSA Registry. The first certificate was obtained in 2007. The extended IOSA certificate proves that the airline applies the most advanced flight safety standards, and awards the status of a safe international carrier. The certificate facilitates cooperation with the leading airlines, gives access to new markets and makes it possible to offer more services to the airline's customers.

IOSA standard is the first world standard for flights safety. Its implementation sets flights safety a priority in all decision-making schemes applied by the airline. The audit covers all airline's activities: management structure, flights safety, flights scheduling and management, airworthiness maintenance, ground servicing, aviation security, etc. In case an airline passes the audit successfully it is granted a certificate valid for two years.
