OREANDA-NEWS. May 25, 2010. UTair Aviation's main operational figures for the period January-April 2010 significantly exceed the figures for the same period in 2009.

In January-April 2010 UTair carried 1,287,600 passengers, a 57.5% increase over 2009. The airline’s aircraft logged 52,051 flight hours, 44.3% more than for the period January-April 2009. To date, UTair’s passenger turnover has totaled 2,147,301.8 PKM, a 70% increase over January-April 2009. UTair aircraft also transported 3,883.1 tons of cargo, 53.1% more than in 2009. The volume of mail transported by fixed wing aircraft reached 1,040.1 tons, 2.6 times the amount for the same period in 2009.

The airline’s helicopter division has also demonstrated stable growth. UTair’s helicopters logged 20,069 flight hours in January-April 2009, a 16.2% increase from 2009. During the reporting period UTair helicopters transported more than 7,030.8 tons of cargo, or 11.4% more than last year and carried 116,834 passengers, 34.4% more than in January-April 2009.
