OREANDA-NEWS. May 27, 2010. The Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Belgorod region (the Belgorod OFAS Russia) found that "Partner-Inform" Ltd. violated Part 1 Article 14 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" (unfair competition), reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

"Partner-Inform" Ltd. was providing the services of motor vehicle liability insurance in the premises that are federal property. The premises are occupied by the Inter-District Department of State Technical Inspection, Examination and Motor Vehicle Registration of the State Road Traffic Safety Inspectorate, the Office of Internal Affairs in the Belgorod region.

The Belgorod OFAS Russia established that employees of "Partner-Inform" Ltd. were selling policies of mandatory motor vehicle civil liability insurance in the premises of the State Road Traffic Safety Inspectorate.

Having investigated the case, the Commission of the Belgorod OFAS Russia issued a determination to "Partner-Inform" Ltd. to stop violating the antimonopoly law.

Under Article 14.33 of the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Violations, OFAS initiated an administrative case against "Partner-Inform" Ltd.

Clause 1 Article 22 of the Federal Law "On Mandatory Civil Liability Insurance of Vehicle Owners" prohibits selling mandatory insurance agreements and advertising the services for mandatory insurance provided by particular insurers in the premises and on the territories, occupied by the authorities and local self-government bodies.
