OREANDA-NEWS. May 27, 2010. Belarusian foreign trade deficit amounted to USD 709.8 million in January-March 2010, compared to a deficit of USD 1.456 billion in January-March 2009, according to the website of the National Bank of Belarus.

Overall turnover of commodities and services reached USD 13.155 billion in January-March 2010, up 18.2% on the year.

Exports of commodities and services increased 28.6% to USD 6.222 billion, and imports increased 10.1% to USD 6.932 billion.

Commodity trade deficit reached USD 1.165 billion in the first three months of the year (USD 5.261 billion of exports and USD 6.426 billion of imports), and service trade surplus amounted to USD 455.1 million (USD 961.3 million of exports and USD 506.2 million).
