OREANDA-NEWS. May 27, 2010. Belarus’ beer output decreased 0.2% on the year in January-April 2010 to 10.356 million decaliters, a representative in the concern Belgospischeprom told.

In April, beer production rose 10.3% on the year to 2.99 million decaliters.

OAO Krinitsa, based in Minsk, cut beer production 9.5% to 4.035 million decaliters.

OAO Olivaria, based in the city of Minsk, produced 1.884 million decaliters of beer in January-April, a decrease of 11% on the year.

Syabar brewery, based in Bobruisk, in the Mogilev Region, produced 1.947 million decaliters of beer in the period, up 62.8% on the year.

OAO Lidskoe Pivo (Lida Beer), in the Grodno Region, increased beer output 0.7% to 1.457 million decaliters.

OAO Brest Beer produced 666,000 decaliters of beer, down 4.7%.

OAO Rechitsapivo, located in the Gomel Region, produced 269,000 decaliters of beer in the period, down 19.9%.

Beer output in plastic bottles went up 1.5% to 8.256 million decaliters, in glass bottles fell 9.5% to 1.534 million decaliters, in kegs increased 14.8% to 471,000 decaliters and in cans fell 30.7% to 86,000 decaliters.

Belarusian beer sales decreased 4% on the year in January-April to 8.962 million decaliters.

Krinitsa sales went down 17.8% to 3.236 million decaliters, Olivaria sales went down 1.5% to 1.793 million decaliters, Lidskoe pivo sales increased 1.4% to 1.307 million decaliters, and sales of Brest Beer fell 16.5%, of Syabar increased 46.1% and of Rechitspivo dropped 18%.
