OREANDA-NEWS. May 28, 2010. Oil production at the fields of TNK-Nizhnevartovsk (a subsidiary of TNK-BP) has reached over 2.77 mln tons so far this year, which is 469 tons more than in the business plan. Since the beginning of May the company has produced 342,000 tons of “black gold”, exceeding its target by 46 tons, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

There are currently 4 drill rigs operating at TNK-Nizhnevartovsk’s oilfields. Nine wells have been drilled and brought on stream so far this year, with a further 10 wells at various stages of preparation for commissioning.

Given its existing well stock and well intervention programme, TNK-Nizhnevartovsk expects to produce over 626,000 tons of oil during May, which will be 1,300 tons over its business plan target.
