OREANDA-NEWS. May 31, 2010. Grain growers of Serhetabat Etrap were the first in Mary Velayat and the country to report on the fulfillment of the contractual obligations ahead of schedule. They delivered 3,300 tons of wheat to the receiving points. This season 11 Case and John Deere grain combines are engaged in the harvest campaign. 52 trucks including farmers’ private vehicles deliver wheat to the receiving points that work throughout the day and night.

The inspired labour of tenant-farmers, machine operators and agricultural specialists as well as the effective organization of the harvest campaign contributed to the success. The richest harvest was reaped in the fields of the Galaimor farmers association. Having delivered 835 tons to the receiving points, local machine operators fulfilled the government order by 250%. Grain growers of the Cemenabat and Gushgy farmers associations overfulfilled the production plan by 50%. The harvest campaign is continued. Grain growers intend to reap rich harvest without losses in the shortest period of time.

According to specialists, grain growers of Serhetabat Etrap can harvest 300 more tons. The wheat fields will be sown with corn that will increase fodder reserves that are of paramount importance for Serhetabat Etrap, the largest cattle breeding region of the country.
