OREANDA-NEWS. May 31, 2010. Two bus lanes are to be opened in southern and eastern Moscow, on Andropova Avenue and Shchyolkovskoe Highway, respectively, in 2010.

“We plan to open the bus lanes on two sections of the Moscow roads this year. The one stretches from the Kolomenskaya subway station to Kashirskoe Highway within Andropova Avenue and another one is between Khabarovskaya and Khalturinskaya streets within Shchyolkovskoe Highway,” Ansar Arifullin, head of the Centre for Traffic Control in Moscow, said at a press conference on May 20.

According to the official, such lanes are also planned for Leningradsky Avenue, Yaroslavskoe Highway, Sevastopolsky Avenue and Lipetskaya Street in the years to follow.

It is worth reminding that Moscow’s first bus lane was opened on Volokolamskoe Highway in 2009.
