OREANDA-NEWS. June 02, 2010. Russian Transport Lines LLC plans to lease the 60ha territory of New Harbor terminal located at the port of Ust-Luga (Leningrad region) for transshipment of Ro-ro cargoes. The Ro-ro terminal is expected to be launched in October-November 2010.

"We believe that the use of Ust-Luga port for transshipment of ro-ro cargo is very promising", Mr. Skovoroda said. According to him in the past few months, the volume of this nomenclature of cargo has shown a growth trend. The RTL’s terminal at the Big Port of St. Petersburg handles 5,000 - 7,000 autos a month.

The New Harbor terminal is situated within the boundaries of Ust-Luga Port, established by the Russian government.
