OREANDA-NEWS. June 07, 2010. In May, 2010 on regular flights of Air Moldova airline were transported 40 th. passengers, that is by 11% more compare with the similar period of 2009, reported the press-centre of Air Moldova.

The largest growth of passenger traffic was recorded on direction Chisinau-Bucharest (+243%), Chisinau-Milano (+63%), Chisinau-Sankt-Petersburg (+27%), Chisinau-Moscow (+20%), Chisinau-Paris (+20%).

Over 900 persons used the flights Air Moldova from Moscow and St.-Petersburg to Europe by stopping over in the Chisinau International Airport that becomes a transit airport.

Air Moldova airline flies direct to 19 destinations - Frankfurt, Vienna, Bucharest, Istanbul, Lisbon, Madrid, London, Athens, Larnaca, Rome, Milan, Verona, Paris, Prague, Moscow, St.Petersburg, Varna, Munchen, Kiev, offering to its passengers two Class of service - Business and Economy.

Air Moldova is the biggest Moldovian airline and it has more than 50% of air transportations registered on the national market.

From 10th of Mai, Air Moldova fleet was increased by a brand new aircraft Embraer 190 that arrived on base airport in Chisinau directly from manufacturer. The aircraft was named "Stefan cel Mare" during inauguration ceremony.
