OREANDA-NEWS. June 08, 2010. KAMAZ participated in the 1st International Exhibition of Arms and Military-Technical Equipment KADEX-2010 organized by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

According to the status and high rank of Kazakhstan’s exhibition, KAMAZ presented an extensive exposition of its army- and dual-purpose equipment on diverse KAMAZ chassis. The visitors with shoulder straps showed their great interest in 4 side vehicles, 2 fuelers, a water carrier, a wrecking car with a side platform and a crane-manipulator, a command and control vehicle, a field kitchen, a variable section container, a power plant using a diesel KAMAZ engine with a rated brake power of 100 kilowatt and a four-axle chassis for mounting of special equipment.

These vehicles were presented by OAO KAMAZ-Engineering, the Russian company’s subsidiary established in Kazakhstan in June 2005, and its assembly enterprise in the city of Kokshetau which had launched production of KAMAZ vehicles in Kazakhstan in August 2005. For five years of its activity the enterprise produced about 4900 KAMAZ trucks. This is KAMAZ’s most successful foreign JV.

Already in its debut year the KADEX-2010 Exhibition became an outstanding event in the scope of Kazakhstan’s military-technical cooperation with other states. Nursultan Nazarbaev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Abdullah Gьl, President of the Republic of Turkey, who was in Astana with an official visit, participated in the opening ceremony. Later on Karim Massimov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan also visited the exhibition. Representatives of Kazakhstan’s military departments and army- and dual-purpose equipment manufacturers discussed cooperation prospects and actual logistic problems of the country’s armed forces in a military-technical conference held within the bounds of the exhibition.

Delegations of military departments of the Russian Federation and a number of other countries visited the exhibition and participated in its events. Production of 200 companies from Kazakhstan, Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Germany, Israel, Spain, Italy, China, Korea, the Netherlands, Poland, the Russian Federation, Slovakia, Turkey, Ukraine, France and the Czech Republic was presented on an air-base of Kazakhstan’s Air Forces.
