OREANDA-NEWS. June 09, 2010. Belarus’ average wage in nominal terms reached 1,116,800 Belarusian rubles (Br) [equivalent to USD 372.9] in April 2010, up 2% month-on-month, an official with the National Statistics Committee told.

In real terms [adjusted for the increase in the consumer prices], the average monthly wage went up 1.3% on the month. In January-April 2010, the average wage increased 5.9% on the year in real terms.

The average wage in Minsk reached 1.491 million rubles in April, in the Minsk Region 1.077 million rubles, in the Gomel Region 1.053 million rubles, in the Grodno Region 1.007 million rubles, in the Brest Region 1.004 million rubles, in the Vitebsk Region 992,200 rubles, and in the Mogilev Region 983,700 rubles.

In manufacturing, monthly wages averaged 1.246 million rubles, in construction 1.495 million rubles, in transport 1.341 million rubles, in telecoms 1.418 million rubles, in agriculture 766,600 rubles, in retail and public catering 1.003million rubles, in healthcare 836,900 rubles, in education 745,800 rubles, in science 1.548 million rubles, in sports 1.385 million rubles, and in culture 791,800 rubles.
