OREANDA-NEWS. June 09, 2010. Tanker “Aktobe” which was built by Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard has arrived to port of Aktau on Friday. The contract for construction of three tankers of 13,000 DWT was signed in April, 2009. The first tanker “Atyrau” was handed over to the customer in September, 2009. “Aktobe” is the second tanker which received by Kazmortransflot. The third tanker “Oral” was launched at Krasnoye Sormovo in May, 2010.

In ceremony have taken part Vadim Malov, CEO of MNP Group, Nikolay Zharkov, Director General of Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard, Mark Vingart, CFO of Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard, Andrey Ivanov, Shipbuilding Director of MNP Group, Mikhail Pershin, Chief Builder of Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard, Sergey Smirnov, Director of Engineering Center of Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard, Alexander Tsepilov, Technical Director of of Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard as well as Sergey Nikolaev, President of Sozinvestgarant Company.

The river-sea-going tanker is designed for transportation of crude oil and oil products with flash point less than 60°С. It is fitted with twelve cargo tanks (of total capacity 14,770 cub.m) and two slop tanks; there are ballast compartments in the double sides and double bottom.

Basic characteristics: length – 150 m, width – 17.30 m, depth – 10.5 m, draught – 6.14 m, deadweight 13470 mt, loaded speed is 10 knots, sea endurance is 20 days. The design of the tanker was worked out by Volgo-Caspian Design Bureau.
