OREANDA-NEWS. June 09, 2010. Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard (MNP Group) and Sommet Finance signed a contract on construction of two “river-sea” oil tankers with the deadweight of over 7000 tons.

The construction will be financed by UnitCredit Bank. MNP Group is appointed as the guarantor.

The self-propelled oil tankers with 12 cargo tanks and 2 slop tanks are designed for the transportation of crude oil, gas condensate and oil products (including technological gasoline). The ship can carry three types of cargo at the same time. The ship is designed under the class KM*Icel [1] R2 AUT1- ICS OMBO LI VCS Oil Tanker (ESP) of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. The design of the tanker was worked out by Volgo-Caspian Design Bureau.


Basic characteristics:: length overall – 141.40 m, breadth overall – 16.84 m, hull height – 6.82 m, speed – 10.5 knots, sea navigation – 20 days, river navigation – 10 days, 12 tanks, 2 slop tanks, crew – 12/14 people. Tanker’s deadweight is 7080 tons, draft (river) – 3.60 m, draft (sea) – 4.60 m.
