OREANDA-NEWS. June 10, 2010. Personnel of “Generation of the Ural” Division’s Perm power plants will be able to realise their ideas through “IES’s Innovation Club”.

 “Innovation Club of IES” project will start in all divisions of “Integrated Energy Systems” company. All Holding’s employees interested in making their enterprise’s work more effective and economizing resources, are invited to the club. Collection of ideas has already started in all 7 regions of IES’s “Generation of the Urals” Division operation including “Perm” Branch.

The competitions of IES’s “Innovation Club” will have two nominations: “The Best Innovatory Suggestion” (three sub-nominations – best projects with economic implementation with the cost of 50 thousand rubles to over 3 mln. rubles) and “The Best Young Innovator” (for employees younger than 35 years of age).

The competition in Innovative Suggestions will take place within the period of April - October 2010 and will have three stages. The first stage is selective and will be held at operation sites, division branches in Perm region. All employees of the division can take part in the first stage. The second - divisional – stage will unite the best developments of “Generation of the Urals” innovators. The third stage – all-holding – is the stage at which works-winners will be considered at the final meeting of the innovators’ club of IES Holding which will take place in October of 2010.

Valuable ideas can appear as a result of the work of a group of authors in the course of common discussion and modification of a suggestion. This is the aim of the schedule of the Club and the list of nominations: before the final stage of work all projects authors will be able to get a reference of colleagues upon request and complete their work taking into account remarks made.

The best innovators based on the results of the third stage will be rewarded monetary prizes (from 10 to 120 thousand rubles) and the possibility to bring their projects to life.

- Perm region has always been famous for its inventors and innovators. I think that this project of IES is a very useful one. At any enterprise there are always people who have lots of inventions on their minds and innovative ideas starting with a bolt and finishing with more serious things. These ideas contribute to the development of the enterprise. Thus, creation of the club is the encouragement of the thinking process. And when you can get a monitory prize for it, then the thinking process becomes not only interesting but also twice more useful.

Technical re-equipment and modernization is one of IES priorities. In 2010 the Company intends to realise a whole bunch of projects in this sphere which will provide for the increase of economic indexes and safety of use. Beside modernisation of boilers the major trends in development include: installation of low-temperature swirling technology for solid fuel (peat, coal) burning; modernisation of turbines for capacity, efficiency and cyclic load capacity increase; reconstruction of shops of chemical water treatment for prolonging of periods between maintenance procedures; increase of fire safety of enterprises. Development of the Company in terms of technical re-equipment and modernization should rely not only on outer developments but also on ideas of IES’s personnel. “Innovation Club” of the company is created just to give an opportunity for all members of the company to bring their ideas to life.
