OREANDA-NEWS. June 10, 2010. The 22nd international exhibition Svyaz-Expocomm-2010 of telecom equipment, systems of management, information technologies and communication services was held in the exhibition center. The exhibition was opened by Sergey Sobyanin, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Head of Central Office of the Government of the Russian Federation.

The number of the exhibition participants is 560 companies from 25 countries.  The national and collective stands are represented by the companies from Germany, Israel, China, Taiwan, France, and Sweden. Over 290 Russian companies demonstrate their achievements in the sphere of information technologies. Sibirtelecom OJSC presents its exposition on the stand of Svyazinvest Group of Companies. The exhibition visitors can familiarize themselves with the activity of the company within the territory of the Siberian Federal District, achievements and possibilities in providing both traditional and high-technology telecommunication services, such as broad-band Internet access, mobile communication, digital interactive television and services of intelligent communication networks.     

“Creation of modern information medium is one of the key directions for the improvement of the country economics,” says Sergey Sobyanin. “In this work the state has a serious partner, Russian telecommunication business that recently has demonstrated a stupendous progress, proved its competence and competitive ability, openness to all new ideas and ability to adapt to changing demands of economics and citizens.” Sergey Sobyanin gave much attention to the consolidated stand of Svyazinvest OJSC. The official delegation learnt the operation indices of interregional telecommunication companies and future prospects of telecommunication development in the regions.

Minister of Telecommunications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation Igor Shchegolev said that the area of the exhibition center will become a big communication platform for professionals of the industry, such as engineers, developers and producers of equipment, operators, and mass-media industry employees. Here they can present the latest achievements and technological innovations, discuss problems of the industry. This will help develop a constructive dialogue and expand actual working relations.

An enlarged meeting of the Board of Ministry of Telecommunications and Mass Communications of Russia, the International Forum for Internet Management and a meeting of the Board of Mass Communications of Ministry of Telecommunications and Mass Communications will also be held at the exhibition. The industry awards will be presented.
