OREANDA-NEWS. June 16, 2010. Ingosstrakh OJSIC has become a laureate of the 12th Russian national contest ‘Golden Diploma for Transparency and Impeccable Business Reputation’. The award ceremony was held at the Centre for Journalism in Moscow. The prestigious award was presented to Ingosstrakh by literary scholar and president of the journalism department of Moscow State University, Yasen Zasursky (dean of Lomonosov Moscow State Universtity’s journalism department between 1965 and 2007).

As was emphasised by the organisers of the award, the Russian Union of Journalists and the Financial Press Club of the Russian Federation, in 2010 special attention was devoted to such key factor in the image of an organisation and a manager as the stability of their business reputation. In the past twelve years a lot of private companies and state organisations have gone through transformation procedures and some high-profile personalities have changed their specialisations. However, the reputation of these respected and yet approachable professionals has stood the test of time and with the passage of years it becomes truly ‘golden. Thus this year the Golden Diplomas 2010 were awarded for stability and growth of reputation.

The laureates were determined by surveying more than 350 journalists who voted for companies that are the most transparent and open in their communication with the press. The main criteria were transparency, constructive cooperation with the mass media, the quality of the products and services, the qualifications of managerial staff and management level , success in the Russian market and recognition abroad, international and domestic ratings and awards.

It has to be noted that in 2009-2010, Russian state organisations often led by example when it came to transparency and openness while private companies cut down on the amount of communication with the mass media following difficulties in the financial markets. Awards were presented to such representatives of the governmental institutions as the chairperson of the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly, Sergey Mironov, the chairperson of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Churov, the head of the Federal Service for the Financial Markets of Russia, Vladimir Milovidov, the state corporation ‘ Agency for the Insurance of Deposits’. Ingosstrakh was the only representative of the business community to be awarded a Golden Diploma.

It ought to be reminded that this year Ingosstrakh was given the prestigious Golden Salamandra professional award in the two most important nominations; 2009 Company of the Year and the Most Open and Transparent Organisation of the Year.
